Here’s One You Made Earlier……….

A day of creative play for adults - with David Pitt

                      (“The Crowman”)

Saturday 1st November 2008.  10.00am – 4.30pm

                         at Trysordy.

Making things out of cardboard and paper - “cutting and sticking” are the sort of activities that most adults only give themselves permission to do on behalf of small children, if at all, but always seem to enjoy thoroughly when they do. Some even secretly wish that the kids would just leave them alone to get on with it by themselves!

So here is the opportunity to take some time to do some of the sort of things that you may not have done since primary school, but now you are old enough to use all those useful pointy and sticky things you weren’t allowed then.

David Pitt  (”The Crowman”) has been working with schools and family groups for nearly 15 years and has also made “things-that-they-made-earlier” for television.
He invites you to join a group of up to 10, playful, not-so-grown-ups for a day of creative making activities in a prepared space using quality materials, scrap and simple tools. Masks, hats, puppets and things that make silly noises will be on the agenda.

You could treat the day as an antidote to the computer screen, a relaxation, or to learn more about the child that you still are, underneath all that stuff. Or maybe just as an opportunity to play with some ideas for things that you can make with and for children.

The day will start with a storytelling session and include a deep relaxation “sound bath” using gongs (yes, really) and is guaranteed to be fun. All materials and tools will be provided and lots of help and ideas given. The emphasis will be on enjoying the doing rather than just the end result, so no need to feel pressure to produce anything spectacular (but it will be anyway)

Everything that you make you can take home with you of course.

Cost: £60
