In addition to this saturday’s Spring Equinox Workshop at Trysordy, March 20th, 10am to 12 midday, to make colourful wind streamers at Trysordy, we have a lined up a few over the next 2 months:

Earth Day at St Peter’s Hall, Carmarthen………Sunday March 11th, 11am – 4pm……..Recycled Creativity
Easter at Trysordy…….Saturday April 3rd, 10am – 12 midday………..Easter Pop-up Puppets
Greyfriars Shopping Centre, Carmarthen relaunch………Thursday April 8th, 11am – 3pm……………. Merlin Themed Activities
Child Safety Fun Day, Newcastle Emlyn Leisure Centre…….Tuesday April 13th, 10am – 4pm….. Recycled Creativity
May Day at Trysordy…….Saturday May 1st, 10am – 12 midday………May Day Themed Activities
Buddha Day (Wesek) at Trysordy………Saturday May 22nd, 10am – 12 midday.

They are all FREE…..just drop-in.
The activities are part of a year long programme of 26 workshops (organised by Trysordy) for parents and children; that link creativity, sustainable living and cultural education. The programme is part funded by a Lottery “Awards for All” grant. Donations are encouraged and children under 11 need to be accompanied by an adult.

Childrens’ Birthday Party Services

Our large meeting room can now be used for Birthday events, designed around whatever suits you. So, you can either hire just the room and bring in everything you need to make a special ocassion….or alternatively ask us to provide a range of services which could include:

a facilitator to provide group or individual making activities, using scrap and arts/craft materials, based around your chosen theme
scrap and arts/craft materials for making activities on your own
materials to make up your own alternative “alternative party bags”
a caterer to provide a buffet
or even a storyteller.

Creative Craft Workshop to celebrate the Indian Festival of Holi , Saturday March 6th

Come and Make a colourful costume that swirls as you dance, to mark the Festival of Colour, Holi . It is open to anyone, but children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult. The event is part funded by a Lottery “Awards for All” grant; linking creativity, culture, sustainability and community development. FREE 10am until 12 midday.

FREE….Make a Chinese Lantern workshop, Saturday February 27th

Come and Make your own Chinese lantern out of tissue and willow , to celebrate the end of the Chinese New Year Festival….. on Saturday February 27th, 10am -12 midday, at Trysordy

Anyone can come along to either workshop at Trysordy in Johnstown; but children under 11 should be accompanied by an adult. The activity is FREE, but if you have a good time, a small donation would be welcome to help cover some of the costs. Trysordy will be participating in this FREE Event along with other not-for-profit and charitable organisations. The purpose is to share ideas for a Christmas that is less money minded, more sutainable and loads of fun….. a place for getting affordable, practical ideas for homemade and recycled decorations and gifts.
